Blue Valley Community Action-Bake Sale for Can Care-a-Van-June 8th

This year 10/11 News and NBC Nebraska Can Care-A-Van is celebrating it's 30th year and Hebron's Blue Valley Community Action has been chosen as a FEATURED STOP AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Blue Valley will be celebrating this day with numerous activities, including a raffle, a silent auction and a BAKE SALE!

The summer months are an especially difficult time for low income parents in Thayer County, because their children are out of school and are not receiving school lunches.  This is why the 10/11 News Can Care-a-Van is such an important event.  Part of being able to help these families is being able to provide perishable and non-perishable food items.  While they receive generous canned food items, being able to provide our families with perishable items, i.e., milk, eggs, cheese, hamburger meat, etc., is a constant struggle for our pantry...and that is why we are asking for your help with our bake sale.  We are asking all of our churches in Thayer County to help us with our bake sale, by creating and baking yummy desserts, breads, pies, rolls, etc. to help us raise funds for much needed PERISHABLE food pantry items.

Baked goods can be dropped off at Blue Valley Community Actions on Wednesday, June 7th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
